Hello Mike,
Long time since we last talked. Hope you are well. I wanted to update you on
Cody. As you remember the case on Allen Bunma was dismissed. The State has
also agreed to dismiss Cody's case! It will officially happen on June 21st,
but that is the status of this case. I really want to thank you for all of
your work and I am looking forward to another fingerprint case to fall on my
desk and hope you are willing to work with me again!

Hey Michael
I'm sorry we were not able to talk the other day, but I wanted to thank you
for the work you did on this case. Mr. Brown was looking at a minimum of
fifteen years in prison, but the State offered three years after I laid our
discovery request on them for additional information concerning their
"expert's" fingerprint analysis. We would not have been able to secure such
an offer without your help and insight. I look forward to working with you
in the future, and I've passed your name and contact information along to
other defense attorneys should they ever need to challenge a fingerprint
analysis. Thank you again, and I look forward to working with you in the
future.

Michael, Manfred, Vince--
Mr. Breault has decided to accept the state's offer, which involves
dismissing 2 of the 3 charges and avoiding a prison sentence.
Thank you for all of your hard work on this case. I have learned so much in
the process and look forward to working with you in the future.
Thank you again.

The case settled and my client pled to a less charge with no jail time. Did
you send me an actual invoice? I don't remember getting one; I think I just
have the quote. I need an invoice before I can pay you because I have to
submit a fee petition.

CELL TOWER TRACKING
I would like to endorse Michael Cherry for anyone who has a case where
cellular tower records are being used to locate the position of a defendant
or witness. He assisted me greatly in my last trial that ended in a not
guilty verdict. I spoke with the jurors who all stated after the cross exam
of the state's expert and our presentation of evidence, the cellular tower
location was not even a consideration. We should all be pushing for this
evidence to be tossed out in a Daubert/Frye hearing. While one was held in
my case and the judge allowed the evidence in, the jury was bright enough to
know what to do with this type of evidence- throw it out!
